About Rosie Lee
Hello, I'm Rosie Lee living in the Evergreen State of Washington. My photography experience started about age 11. My Mother acquired a small blue box camera through a local town paper contest. It took 12 exposure rolled film - I still have that camera. My sophomore year in high school the biology teacher was teaching marine biology. So, my Father found a 35mm film camera, Miranda, that could connect to a microscope. It allowed me to take photos of the plankton, etc. that I was viewing on the slides under the scope. Yes, I still have that one too but somewhere along the line the adaptor was lost. My early college effort saw me enrolled in classes as a photojournalist. Then life took over as I decided to get married so my involvement with photography became very secondary taking just the usual family and holiday photos. Years later my Father once again came to my aid moving me into the digital age of photography. It was still very much just a hobby. With the passing of people and time, I ventured further and further into my hobby. I began visiting spots in Washington taking photos of what looked interesting to me. As time moved on so did I, venturing into Oregon and a few spots in Canada. During this time, I acquired several new digital cameras each capable of more and more. My trusty camera of today is called an all-in-one. Not a DSLR that requires changing lenses but a workhorse that with a little finger power will zoom out to 3000mm allowing me to capture some rather distant subjects. My primary interests center around Mother Nature, throwing in a little architecture, events, and generally most anything that looks interesting and catches my eye. I'm still working to find what others might enjoy that I capture.
